About the role:

We're searching for a driven and seasoned Operations Director to lead the show at our York, Nebraska, location. In this crucial role, you will ensure the smooth running of our single factory and logistic networks while implementing strategies that optimize our financial profitability and efficiency.


Key responsibilities:

  • Create and put in place a comprehensive safety policy for all operations, ensuring the well-being of both staff and equipment.
  • Promote and enforce a strict and thorough quality culture and make sure finished products meet all customer and company specifications.
  • Lead and develop a team of about 100 employees, fostering a culture where they feel empowered and can keep improving.
  • Manage and supervise industrial operations, including maintenance, investing in new technologies, and implementing Lean Management principles.
  • Spearhead the company's efforts in the circular economy by promoting sustainable practices and complying with environmental regulations.
  • Develop and manage logistics strategies to ensure efficient inbound and outbound operations that meet customer needs.
  • Work well together with internal and external interested parties, including plant managers, regional colleagues, and central divisional experts.
  • Help with the annual budgeting and target-setting process and develop the five-year business plan for the York location.

Job requirements

Qualifications:

  • A master's degree (engineering, business school, etc.) and at least 10 years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams in an industrial environment.
  • Previous experience managing a large-scale business unit is a strong plus.
  • Lean awareness and, ideally, certification is a strong plus.
  • Fluency in English (mandatory, with excellent written and oral communication skills).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
